Peterborough, ON, Canada - Feb 23, 2006 - The Beaverbrook Art Gallery, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, is internationally known for its outstanding collection of paintings from the Elizabethan period to modern era. It is also highly regarded for its fine collection of early modern European paintings. This facility just might be the first “All-Green” gallery in North America. “We were ready to purchase cleaning supplies,” says George Hill, the Gallery’s facility manager, “and we decided it was time to take a look at Green offerings.” Mike Bird of Whisco, the Gallery’s Jansan distributor, and Mike Sawchuk of Enviro-Solutions, a leading manufacturer of Green cleaning products, met with Hill on this issue. “Basically they went through all my cleaning needs—washrooms, art studios, galleries, and offices—and came back with a list of products they recommend,” he recalls. Switching to Green cleaning chemicals proved simple and Hill’s staff noticed one change right away— there were no odors. The previously used cleaning chemicals left an odor that could take hours to dissipate. According to Hill, the Green chemicals cost about the same as the traditional products he had used for years.
